Summer season is the best time to Trek Damavand, it is from mid June to mid September. In this climbing season south route foot-steps are free of snow, the weather forecast is generally good and climbers can go by cars as far as Damavand BaseCamp, ( also called Goosfand-Sara or Mosque).
Climbers with ordinary trekking knowledge are advised to trek Damawand only in this season. During Iranian weekends and holidays Damavand resorts are very crowded (in summer season). Best starting day is Saturday. Avoid travelling to the are in Iranian weekends (Thursday and Friday).
